Only the americans could have invented this 'sport' - I have personally been thrilled, come close (and even almost taken part) in many sorts of 'drag racing', including cars, special cars and motorbikes, but 'tractor pulling' stands out for me as being the ultimate way to demonstrate the pure power, torque and earth shattering noise of an internal combustion engine run close to breaking point against the weighted 'trailor' - whether your interest is WWII multiple combinations of Mustang in-line super charged monsters, helcopter jet engines, or water-injected 'standard' large bore diesels, these events are indeed a summer must for many - why not try one out this year (and you might even catch a glimpse of Gekkotruck 001)
