Our Philosophy

We build expedition-ready 'filled' living boxes from GFK/GRP panels - we can also build complete expeditionsfahrzeuge. We supply for any vehicle that has 4 or more driven wheels (4WD and AWD), has a chassis & is over 3.5 tonne - we like building to your custom & individual requirements - we are happy to supply for the smaller vehicles, such as 4WD Sprinters, Ivecos and Transits, the middle range (MAN, Scania, VW, Mercedes, Bucher), the extreme stuff (Unimog, Steyr) and the big stuff (MAN KAT, Saurer, Mercedes Zetros, Stewart & Stevenson, Iveco etc.)

When sourcing and supplying a complete expedition truck, we combine  a tried and trusted base vehicle (usually drawn from the German/Swiss/Austrian army, fire service or THW) - typically suitable donor vehicles have less than 50.000 kilometers - we service, freshen, refurbish and update as needed (minimum sand-blast/respray chassis, full service with all fluids, pads, filters etc.), and add on expedition extras such as long range fuel tanks, underbody protection, snorkel, winch etc. - we build / fit out a living cabin (usually built on the original strengthened vehicle rear cargo frame) - dependent on vehicle type, we also renovate the drivers cabin, and fit out with additional items (especially if also used as part of the 'living space') - although we do offer some additional options & customisations, our vehicles come expedition ready - finally, we re-register the vehicle with the german authorities as a 'wohnmobile' (non german customers can re-register based on the german re-registration). All build work is undertaken to satisfy European standards.

  1. Find base vehicle, get tested, serviced and mechanical maintenance (sub contracted to German Unimog engineer, trucks sub-contracted to MAN/Scania truck service) – all vehicles are driven for minimum of 400km, and using a '100 point' checklist

  2. Chasis/wheels sandblasted/painted

  3. Drivers cabin renovation (rust/damage removal, full cabin strip re-paint)

  4. Basic modifications (large fuel tanks, snorkel, roof rack, waste water tank etc)

  5. Additional modifications (for Unimog, turbo, intercooler, springs/stabiliser etc.)

  6. Sandblast/strengthen/paint, prepare for cabin build

  7. Build basic cabin shell (standard 50mm - up to 100mm, cut/fit doors, windows and access panels

  8. Paint living cabin, fit ancilliary items

  9. Fit out cabin with furniture
  10. Commissioning & test
  11. Re-registration (with German vehicle licensing authorities)
  12. Delivery/handover to client
